You are invited to attend the university’s inaugural Festival of Learning

Wednesday 14 June 2017

Organised by Dr David Webster, the university’s Head of Learning and Teaching Innovation, the event will bring together university staff and those from Compact Schools and partner colleges. The focus is on Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, but with a blend of content that should be applicable across the education sector.

The event will include

  • A keynote lecture from anthropologist Dr Donna Lanclos, Associate Professor for Anthropological Research at the University of North Carolina.

  • A set of 15 minute ‘Lightning Sessions’ designed to stimulate debate.

  • An interactive lunch set in an exhibition, showcasing recent innovations. As well as a pop-up film studio, there will be eLearning projects, sustainability work and, of course, food and conversation.

  • Workshop sessions giving more detail on approaches to learning and teaching, and ways of engaging with students.
