For the second year running, the Outreach team hosted a Parents HE Information Evening at Oxstalls campus, Gloucester, to provide helpful information on all aspects of applying to Higher Education.
The evening is designed to fill the gaps in knowledge from the Application Process to Student Finance and with experts in Accommodation, Money Advice and Disability Support on standyby. We invite parents of year 12 students to this informal event to get their questions answered and feel more confident about the route to higher education.
This year, we had a greater turnout and more fantastic feedback. Parents evaluated their understanding of key aspects surrounding HE before and after the event, and reported between a 34-46% increase of understanding on areas including Student Finance and the UCAS process after the event.
